From Japan, Super Junior heads to Manila for Super Show 3
MANILA, Philippines - Are you ready for Super Junior in Manila?
Thousands of Filipino fan are excited see Super Junior for the second time as the boy band holds the "Super Show 3: The 3rd Asia Tour" concert on Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Super Junior just wrapped up their three-day concert in Yokohama, Japan from Feb. 18 to 20 and the Philippines will be the next stop in the tour.
Filipinos ELFs (or Everlasting Friends, which is a term for Super Junior fans) are mobilizing everyone for support projects for Super Junior members including making banners and fan chants during the concert.
In addition, the Super Junior United Philippines fan club is soliciting donations foods that will be given to Super Junior and crew during the concert. Fans have prepared Filipino and Korean food and drinks. These include dried mangoes, bottled water, softdrink, otap, juice drinks, chocolates, noodles, wine, candies, and Korean food.
With all the preparations, fans are ecstatic that they will see Super Junior again in person.
“Yes we are very, very excited about SS3. We can’t sleep,” said Xuyenyen, a fan who is going to watch the concert.
“Di na ako makatulog. Excited much,” posted fan Rodelhett Moreno on Facebook.
Fans are also bringing and wearing Super Junior related stuff to the concert including sapphire blue light sticks, towels, lanyards, ballers and tshirts.
“We are so ready. The light sticks are ready, the ticket, the gifts for our boys (Super Junior),” added Xuyenyen.
This is the second time that Super Junior will hold a concert in the Philippines. Last year, the boys held their Super Show 2 in April at Araneta Coliseum.
Super Junior will be joined by K-pop band TRAX, which is also managed by SM Entertainment, during the Manila concert on Saturday.
Super Show 3 kicked off in Seoul in August last year. Super Junior then toured China, Thailand, Singapore and Japan.
