If you loved the Japanese manga Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi), then you’re gonna love this! SM Entertainment has just announced that they will be producing a drama based on the manga!

Hana Kimi has sold over 17 million copies worldwide, with its Tawainese adaption garnering the highest viewer ratings in 2006 (with Wu Zun, Ella, Jiro Wang, Danson Tang, etc,) and the Japanese drama garnered an average of 17.04% in viewer ratings.

Since its very popular in Korea as well, representatives of SM Entertainment revealed that they signed a contract that gave them the publication rights for its drama production.

Representatives revealed, “The Korean version will have a total of 16 episodes that draw out stories of hopes and dreams. It’s a teenage comedy with a cute, but strong storyline and a slew of handsome cast members. We’re planning to begin airing it this summer.”

I can’t wait to see who’s going to be who! I wonder if they’re using just SM acts or even acts from other companies.
