KBS will soon be airing an upcoming idol singer reality show called Immortal Song 2. It will be the second season of the Immortal Song circuit, and will feature similar concepts.

In the first season of Immortal Song, Korean artists attempted to teach entertainers their hit songs. The second season will have a similar vibe, and it will include all idols. The idols will sing the songs of a current veteran and they will be judged individually. Each week, the public will be able to see if the idols have showed signs of improvement. Luckily, no participants will be eliminated.

The reality show has settled on three main rules.

1. Singing is the main focus of the show and other entertainment talents are irrelevant.
2. Idols are not permitted to imitate the original singer’s style. They must create their own variation of the song.
3. The contestants are expected to have fun!

Producer Kwon Jae-yong recently revealed the list of contestants on his official Twitter page. Beast‘s Yoseob, miss A‘s Min, Super Junior‘s Yesung, TVXQ‘s Changmin, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, and IU will be participating with a song by Shim Soo-Bong.

It has also been confirmed that SHINee’s Jong-Hyun, 2PM’s Junsu, CNBLUE’s Yong-Hwa, and F.T. Island’s Hong-Ki will be joining the cast, but will not be in the first episode due to busy schedules.

The first recording is scheduled for May 16, for a possible release in June.
